Q. How can I get a freight rate for shipping?

A. Due to the size, weight and nature of material we will be sending, you must get a customized freight quote. This means that you will not be paying extra to cover costs! We do not want to make money on freight so we only charge the actual freight costs.

Q. What type of headroom clearance do I need for my overhead door?

A. Normal headroom requires 26" of unobstructed area above the doors.

Q. What does R-Value mean?

A. The R-Value is the doors insulation value.

The higher the R-Value, the better the insulation. Doors with higher insulation values will keep your building warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

Q. What is the difference between a sectional and a roll up door?

A. Sectional doors contain panels or “slabs” that are moving up and into the building. Track options let you decide how the door track system will be incorporated into your building. The doors can go up and straight back into the building (traditional), can go straight up the inside wall if your building is tall enough or can even follow the roof pitch. Sectional doors are easy and low maintenance. They come in several options of steel gauge thickness, insulated or non-insulated, with or without windows, and have several color options.

Roll-up doors, also referred to as coiling doors or canister doors are popular for storage units, warehouses, hangars and automotive structures. They roll up into a canister in the building and are very durable.  Roll up doors can be insulated or non-insulated and come in a variety of colors. Window options are not available roll up doors.

Q. What is intellecore insulated technology, sectional overhead door?

A. intellecore = Warmer. Quieter. Stronger.

Commercial Overhead doors featuring Intellicore® insulation technology represent the ultimate smart choice for building owners. Clopay’s Intellicore is a proprietary polyurethane foam that is injected into a door, expanding to fill the entire structure. The result is a door with incredible strength and durability. Its dense insulation also produces a quieter door, while its industry-leading R-values (up to 22.2) provide year-round comfort and improved energy efficiency. Smart, indeed.
